Crisis help

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in the United States.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Learn more about suicide prevention and hear about personal experiences from people in your local community impacted by suicide.

Find a therapist

Find an acceptance and commitment therapy therapist or practitioner. This page lists members of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science who have identified themselves as therapists or practitioners and are available for consultation. You can browse the list or use a search feature to look for a practitioner by state or city.

Jennifer Waldron, LMHC. Jennifer’s practice is located in western Massachusetts. However, she provides both in-person and telehealth services. She specializes in treating uniformed service members and family members using acceptance and commitment therapy to treat trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, anxiety, and depression.

LifeStance Health. LifeStance Health has an expansive network of clinicians, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and licensed therapists. They accept most insurance plans. You can search for a practitioner by state. LifeStance offers both in-person and telehealth appointments.

Thomas Peltz, LMHC. Tom has worked in the mental health field since 1973. His areas of specialty include addiction and mental health, co-occurring treatment, grief, and trauma work, men\’s issues, spiritual health, and care for professionals and First Responders. Tom\’s practice is located in northeastern Massachusetts.

Uniformed services support

Strengthen Your Mind Initiative. The Strengthen Your Mind Initiative offers free training to help uniformed service professionals become resilient and develop inner strengths to live with a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and connection through outdoor adventures and mental health training.

War Horses. War Horses offers free training using horses to help veterans and first responders who have experienced life-disrupting trauma to recover from their limitations, repurpose their talents and abilities to a successful life, and reintegrate into their families, workplaces, and communities to Veterans and First Responders to equip them with skills for success, leadership development, and personal growth through horsemanship. 

Massachusetts Coalition of Police Peer Support Quiz. Learn whether stress and depression might be affecting you and receive support from a peer, including provider referrals.

COPLINE. COPLINE offers a 24-hour hotline answered by trained retired law enforcement officers. They assist with managing psychosocial stressors that impact law enforcement officers and their families. They can also connect callers to therapists and programs for treatment.

Cop2Cop. Retired law enforcement officers and clinicians who have worked with law enforcement officers provide confidential, 24/7 peer support to New Jersey law enforcement officers and their families.
