My name is Frank Gallo. I’m a licensed psychologist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I provide personal coaching to workforce professionals wanting to fuel higher performance levels and live more fully. It can give you the tools to navigate life’s challenges and be transformative for your personal growth, helping you gain confidence in creating the life you want.
My coaching style is focused on helping you grow by encouraging you to step outside your comfort zone and try new things. How can personal coaching help you?
Building resilience
Life can throw challenges at you that feel overwhelming and set you back. But through coaching, you can learn how to bounce back from them. I’ll help you understand that resilience isn’t about avoiding difficulties. It’s about growing stronger through them. Now, when life gets tough, you’ll have the confidence to face it head-on and keep moving forward.
Finding work-life balance
A healthy work-life balance is another area where coaching can make a huge difference. Perhaps you’re struggling with feeling constantly pulled between your career and personal life, leaving you drained. Through personal coaching, I’ll help you learn strategies to manage your time better and set boundaries to make space for what truly matters, both at work and in your personal life, without feeling overwhelmed by guilt.
Living on purpose
Coaching can help you find purpose and meaning in life. Maybe you’re feeling like you’re just going through the motions, working and living, but not truly connecting to what you want or who you want to be. I’ll guide you to reflect on your values, passions, and goals to rediscover what lights you up, helping you gain clarity and direction to live with more intention every day.
Managing stress
People can achieve remarkable growth thanks to coaching. Like many people, maybe you’re getting caught up in stress, feeling paralyzed by it at times. In our work together, I’ll show you how to recognize what brings up stress for you and develop skills to turn stress into value-driven opportunities. When stress arises, you can surf it more calmly and effectively without letting it control your life and do what matters most to you.
What does it cost?
Fees
Usually, health insurance plans do not cover personal coaching, so you’ll have to pay for it yourself. If you want to get coaching, you may want to plan for its cost.

FAQs
Coaching and therapy aim to help people improve their lives, but they focus on different things and have different approaches. Coaching is generally forward-looking, focusing on setting goals, creating action plans, and helping people improve their performance in specific areas of their lives, such as work. Coaches work with individuals to help them maximize their potential, usually in areas of life where they’re already doing okay but want to do better.
Therapy, on the other hand, focuses on addressing mental health conditions for which treatment is necessary. Therapy helps individuals understand past experiences and mental health issues like anxiety or depression. Therapists are trained to work with people having significant difficulties getting things done or getting along with others in important parts of their lives, such as work, home, or education, and help them improve.
In short, coaching helps people achieve their goals to fuel higher levels of performance in areas of life in which they’re doing fine. In contrast, therapy helps people address medical conditions that significantly affect their lives so they can function better.
An initial evaluation for personal coaching is a starting point where you and I get to know each other and set the foundation for our work together. It typically involves discussing your current challenges, goals, and focus areas, whether building resilience, finding work-life balance, living with more purpose, or managing stress. I’ll ask you questions to understand your situation, identify your strengths, and what you hope to gain from coaching. The evaluation can last a few sessions to clarify your needs, define measurable goals, and outline a tailored coaching plan to help you move forward. It’s a collaborative process to ensure you and I are aligned in your expectations.
It is important to note that your coaching plan is flexible and can be adjusted based on your progress and changing needs. You should evaluate this information and your opinions about whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether I can help. At the end of the evaluation, I will tell you if I believe I am not the right coach to help you. If so, I will refer you to another coach (or coaches) as necessary who might be better suited to help you.
Coaching involves a significant commitment of time, money, and energy, so you should be very careful about the personal coach you select. If you decide to work with me and I can help, coaching typically involves regular sessions, such as weekly, biweekly, or monthly, to discuss your challenges and progress. I’ll ask questions, provide skills training, and help you create action plans between visits to achieve your goals. You’ll also be able to ask questions and give feedback on our work together.

Also, ask what information the company will need for you to qualify for reimbursement. I may be able to provide you with a receipt with information that your insurance company requires for reimbursement.

Telecoaching is a way to connect with a coach using technology over the Internet, like video conferencing. This allows people to meet and get personal coaching services without going to an office. It can make it easier for people to access the services they want from a more convenient place.
I use a HIPAA-compliant platform by SimplePractice to deliver personal coaching services using video conferencing technology. Your appointments and information are secure with bank-level encryption. Features include easy appointment scheduling, automatic appointment reminders, mobile or desktop device use, no logins or passwords necessary, and clicking a link to start an appointment.
Telecoaching is not for everyone, but it might be for you. I’ll work with you to determine whether video conferencing is an option, exploring the benefits and risks of using this method to meet your goals and preferences. We’ll also regularly monitor and assess your progress using telecoaching to determine whether it’s still a practical option for you.
